The “Do Nots” of Tying the Knot: Part II – Where
Here at proposal-ideas.com, we pride ourselves at being the “go-to” source for all things marriage proposals. In the past, we have given you tips on when not to propose. Today, we want to go over a few tips on where not to propose! Proposals should be unique, exhilarating, and romantic, but one tiny misstep can ruin the mood of this special occasion. To make sure your proposal is perfect, check out this list of “Do-Nots” for getting someone to say yes to your proposal.
DO NOT propose without a plan. I know it is stressful to think about when you already had to find the perfect ring. But yes, you do need to come up with the perfect way to propose too. What that means will vary from person to person. Think about what she will like, and then work on creating a proposal idea around that.
DO NOT propose in a crowd of people if she is an introvert. If your partner hates being center of attention, this could be a huge mistake. She could humiliate you and say no. Even if she says yes, she herself could be humiliated and feel let down in regards to her proposal.
DO NOT propose without a ring. You need something to symbolize you have proposed, so don’t even think about proposing without a ring. If you want to shop for a ring together later, that is fine. At least propose with a placeholder for now.
DO NOT forget to document your proposal. Nowadays everyone wants to share their marriage proposal on social media. Most of our proposal packages do include a photographer so be sure to add that at checkout.
DO NOT propose using the huge free engagement ring boxes that come with your ring. It is the most special day of your life up until this point. Give her a box worth of what is inside, a flat engagement ring box at www.ringstash.com
