Oval Cut Diamond Rings

An oval cut has a similar brilliance to that of a round cut diamond. This diamond is for someone who loves the sparkle of the round diamond, but wants a not so common shape. When buying an oval diamond keep in mind it can fall victim to the “bow-tie-effect”. This is an undesirable dark area near the center of the diamond. The “bow-tie-effect” is not unusual to see if you examine an oval diamond from ever angle, but what you don’t want is to see that dark spot from every angle and in all shades of light.
