Creative Ways to Incorporate Flowers Into A Marriage Proposal
During these difficult times, you may find it hard to be creative when you’re essentially in lockdown 24/7. It’s even more difficult if you are at that stage where you are ready to pop the question. Not being able to do many of the things we used to be able to do can make your proposal planning outlook seem bleak.
Not to worry though, you can still get creative though with your engagement ideas. One of the things that many proposals tend to include is flowers. Everyone has seen or heard of a marriage proposal taking place amidst a sea of rose petals, but there are various more creative ways to use flowers for an engagement. That is why we have come up with creative ways to incorporate flowers into an unforgettable marriage proposal.
Engagement Ring Ribbon
This one is relatively simple but is elegant in its presentation. You use the engagement ring to hold a bouquet of your loved one’s favorite flowers together. You could also string the ring through a beautiful ribbon that could hold the bouquet together.
You tell your partner that you have a surprise for her and lead her to the bouquet that you have hidden somewhere. Another option is that you create a scavenger hunt proposal and the finale of the hunt ends with you waiting for your partner in a suit with the bouquet.

Flower Decorations
If you would love to decorate a space for your partner to find, then this is a perfectly romantic engagement idea. You use individual flowers or petals and string them together to create a decorative floral garland. You can attach this to a branch at a nice park where you guys head together or even attach it to a homemade PVC structure that you can create even during a quarantine. This setup is perfect for decorating any room and creating an amazing backdrop for an engagement.
Flower Message
If you want to use flowers for your proposal in a more sentimental way, then you this is the wedding proposal idea for you! This can be done one of two ways. The first is that you can write down personal love notes and put each on a single flower. The second is that you can write each letter from the phrase “will you marry me?” on small cards and attach each one to the stem of a single flower. The flowers could be delivered throughout the day and lead up to the big proposal.
An alternative to the love notes on the single flowers is that you can create very large arrangements using the flowers to spell out words for your partner. This is a great way to make a grand expression.
Mini Flower Float or Flower Wall
You’ve seen the Rose Parade right? Well as you know, these are very elaborate designs that contain hundreds and thousands of flowers and take tons of labor time to make. They look beautiful. Well what if you were to do something similar to this for your partner? I’m not saying make something of the same size but I’m saying take this idea and scale it down to a personal level.
Take a heart shape for example, you can create large frame that has the heart shape and on the heart, you can attach roses to them. This type of proposal would take some effort but when your partner sees it, she will be blown away at the effort you put in to make something nice and romantic for her.
Lighted Flowers
An alternative to having live flowers, is to use LED roses that you can line up in your apartment/house. Instead of using candles, these light up roses can be lined up to create the same ambience but it would be taking the place of both the candles and flowers. Pretty cool huh?!
Closing Thoughts
During this quarantine period, you may think that planning a creative proposal with flowers may be more difficult. Well guess what? Flowers do not stop growing!
