How to Announce Your Engagement

Once you’ve proposed it becomes time to start spreading the news. There are plenty of ways to tell your friends and family so they hear it from you first.

A lot of people call their immediate family members and friends after they get engaged. This way their family can hear it from them before anyone else blabbers the news and ruins the surprise.

Another way you could do it is by having an engagement party. You don’t have to tell people what the party is for but then once everyone is there make the announcement. This way will save you a bunch of phone calls.

Some people just send out save the dates for their wedding, which lets people know that they’ve gotten engaged. The only problem with this is that people like to ask questions about the proposal and how it happened, so adding your proposal story to the back of the card wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Another way to announce the new would be to start an engagement and wedding website. This way your family and friends can follow you along your journey of planning and you can post your proposal story right to the website!
