How to Lower the Cost of Your Proposal
Since people are more conscientious of the money they are spending now a day’s everyone is looking to cut costs where they can and proposals are not high on people’s expense list. Here are some clever ways to give your soon to be fiancé the proposal of their dreams without breaking your bank.
Once you get the idea of proposing to your girlfriend/boyfriend you should start saving. The more you save for a ring the better off you are. Even if you don’t end up spending as much on the ring as you’ve saved, you still have to think about the cost of insuring the ring and getting it resized. Just by having money left over in your bank account that you didn’t use towards the ring will make you feel like you’ve lowered the cost of your proposal.
If you don’t have enough money to go on a vacation to a remote location for your proposal, take a mini vacation. It could be a weekend up north, or a weekend in the city. The point of the getaway is to make her feel like she’s away from home on a romantic vacation. If a weekend away is still out of the budget then take her on a walk through a park of your hometown. Even a short intimate walk through nature will take her away from the chaos of life.
If you want to propose to your girlfriend at a romantic dinner but can’t afford to go somewhere fancy, try to recreate the dinner at your house. If you’re a terrible cook, but know a friend who is a good cook offer to pay them to cook a meal for the two of you so that you can enjoy each other’s company and get the feel like you’re in a restaurant. Create a romantic setting with candles and a table set just for the two of you, this will be even better than a crowded restaurant.
