Proposal Cover Ups
Many people want their marriage proposal to take their future fiance by surprise. But how do you surprise them when you have something elaborate planned that might alert them to your intentions? We’ve come up with three diversion plans to help you mask your proposal and leave them completely surprised.
The Fake Dinner Party- To start this decoy plan tell your future fiance ahead of time that one of your friends is having a dinner party on the night you intend to propose. Get your friends in on the plan so if they speak no one will spill the beans. The night of the “dinner party” you will have a good excuse for getting a bit more dressed up than usual. When you arrive at the proposal destination your partner may become a bit suspicious depending on the location, but continue to reassure them that you’re still heading to a party. Once you’ve reach your ultimate proposal spot the rest is history.
Surprise Them at Home- An intimate and romantic way to surprise your future fiance is by creating a beautiful setting at home. While they are at work for the day enlist the help of friends, family, or a professional to come transform their dwelling into a romantic paradise. When they arrive home after a trying day at work they will be completely surprised by the makeover and romantic, personal proposal.
Weekend Getaway Trip- A weekend getaway trip is a great way to distract your future fiance from your proposal intentions. With their focus on planning and preparing for the trip they won’t know that you have a secret agenda for the weekend. As you’re taking in the sites of your destination pop the question at one of your favorite landmarks. Or take them by surprise on your first night at dinner. The trip will then double as a celebration of your new engagement!
